Ernest Dempsey’s short script The One Egg Challenge has been recognized as an official selection at the Blue Eye Screenplay Contest 2025.
Run by Blue Eye Productions of New York, the contest considered short scripts of 15 pages maximum with the winner set to be announced around December 1st. The message from the contest notifying Dempsey of his screenplay making it to the official selection status read:
We are excited to let you know that your screenplay has been selected for the Blue Eye Screenplay Contest. Out of a large number of submissions, your work distinguished itself for its creativity, storytelling, and strong potential. Congratulations on this recognition, and thank you again for sharing your work with us.
Previously, The One Egg Challenge has been a finalist in The Shark Awards screenplay contest in 2023. The script tells the story a farmer who claims that his duck has laid a miraculous egg and he is invited on a news show to explain his claim.
